Dental Assistant – Specialist Prosthodontic Practice
The DCR team have an opportunity available for a highly experienced and motivated dental assistant to join our client’s specialist dental team. Prior experience in chairside assisting within a specialist practice would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided. Up-to-date infection control knowledge and experience within the general practice dental setting and procedural knowledge are both a must for this role.
As this is a dual clinical Dental Assistant/Receptionist position to work alongside the specialist Prosthodontists, confidence in both chairside and reception areas are a must to excel at this role. Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Chairside assisting
- Reception using MacPractice dental software (processing of payments, booking patient appointments and completing treatment plans for patients)
- Lab work
This secure full-time role consists of 38 hours/week, Monday to Friday with no late nights or weekends! The practice hours and start and finish times are:
Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays are 8.30am-5/5.30pm and
Tuesday and Thursdays are 7.30am-5/5.30pm.
The successful candidate will be able to confidently provide excellent chairside assisting, as well as managing the sterilisation duties and reception tasks our client is offering a secure job opportunity and flexibility with the hourly rate for the successful candidate.

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting, preferred but not essential
- 3 + years clinical chairside experience
- Able to work in a busy dental practice and team
- Reception experience
- Experience with prosthodontics highly regarded
- Hold excellent communication skills

- High attention to detail
